Point finishing: choosing the right shot
Key takeaway from our Guru
How do I finish a point when I get a short lob?
You do not have to smash to finish the point. Focus on keeping the ball in front of your body and hitting with precision to the open space instead of using maximum power.
What this lesson covers
Finishing a point when receiving a short lob does not require a smash. Players often mistake power for the only way to end a rally. Instead, the objective is to identify the open space and move quickly to a position that allows for a controlled strike. Whether using a bandeja, vibora, or a simple groundstroke, the key is keeping the ball in front of the body and away from the torso.
When executing these shots, the arm should remain fully extended at the moment of impact. The focus shifts to combining pressure and precision rather than raw speed. By maintaining a forward movement, the player can close the net position effectively. If the opponent returns the ball, being close to the net provides additional options such as a drop shot or a quick volley to the feet. The priority is simply to win the point, regardless of the technique used to achieve it.

🎾¿DEFINIR ES PEGAR MÁS FUERTE?
Description
💪🏼🎾 Rodri Ovide
